She recently completed her formal 'ūniki training as kumu hula and believes that our mana, power, lies within the valuable connections we establish to our three piko, mind, body and spirit. When we culturally engage and nuture our mental (mind), physical (body) and emotional (spirit) well-being, we become well-balanced, rich in our identity and purposeful in serving others in beneficial ways. As an aerialist, dancer and yoga teacher on Maui for the past 24 years, she has seen the longevity of her career apparent in her cultural approach to movement, yoga, breath work and diet. Here are some things people have to say about us.
Oh my gosh, this mightʻve been the highlight of our whole school year. Watching the kids create music, work together, and perform their pieces as part of a whole song is truly magical!

Really enjoyed this class. Students loved being the actors on the stage and creating the set. They also loved posing at high, middle, and low levels. Amazing! I love how she let them have fun without taking over completely. So skilled!
— Kaunakakai Elem. Teacher, Grade 3
“
Beautiful! The kids connected to their body through movement all related to the parts of the ahupuaʻa and wai. I thought it was so fun to see them get out of their comfort zones and do this collectively. Beautifully done!
