Join us for a day of ʻāina-based learning led by Native Hawaiian cultural practitioners. Students will connect to Hawaiian language, moʻolelo, hula, and healing arts while exploring the land and its stories. This immersive experience nurtures cultural pride, community connection, and environmental stewardship.

Our theme this year will focus on our island home Maui. Students will connect learning at this field trip to Nā Hōpena Aʻo frameworks, National Core Art Standards, ʻĀina Aloha thoughts and concepts, Hawaiian Language & Culture. As part of the inaugural launch, we will be waiving attendance fees for the first 10 elementary schools to participate. Our October calendar will open for paid visits held on Wednesdays and Fridays.

As we launch our pilot of this program, we will be waiving all fees for schools for the month of September. In October, our calendar will open for paid visits each Wednesday and Friday.

A typical day includes oli protocol, artist intro, story telling, dance class, music class, and theater activities. There are also scheduled breaks for snacks and lunch.

Students should bring a filled water bottle, sunscreen, a no trash lunch, athletic shoes or slippers, and a towel.

Upon confirmation of your chosen huakaʻi field trip day, forms will be sent to the teacher in charge. All waivers and forms will be collected upon arrival.

Yes! We encourage you to continue to expand on the curriculum shared at our field trip. Teachers will receive a story, song, and classroom routines to continue the learning.
