A collective Maile Grove where we believe each person is born with a gift, a talent, a skill, a purpose in this life. Through the art forms of music, story telling, dance, and visual arts, rooted in the treasured pathways of Hawaiʻi, we plant a forest of excellence in each student who comes our way.

Life long lovers of the arts, the Maile Grove kumu have spent decades fine tuning art forms that connect deeply to culture, language, and stories. These gifts create rich learning opportunities for students ages 6 to 86.

So whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, there is a space for you in our Maile Forest. E hoʻonaʻauao pū kākou, join us!

Here are some things people have to say about us.

Really enjoyed this class. The students loved being the actors on the stage and creating the set. Amazing! So fun and so engaging, she let them have fun without taking over. So skilled!

Kaunakakai Elem. Teacher, Grade 3

Oh my gosh, this mightʻve been the highlight of our whole year. Watching the kids create raps, work together, and perform their piece as part of a whole song was truly magical!

Kula Elem. Teacher, Grade 4

Beautiful! The kids connected to their body through movements related to the parts of the ahupuaʻa and wai. I thought it was so important for them to get out of their comfort zones and do this collectively. Beautifully done!!
